This is a micro USB LiPo battery charger module that uses TP4056 integrated circuit with 1A charging current.
It uses a micro USB for connecting the board to the computer and works with linear charging.
This module can be used to charge a single-cell battery and it has the ability to protect your lithium battery from overcharging.
The input terminal has a MICRO USB female socket, which can be directly used as input to charge the lithium battery with a mobile phone charger. And still retain the input voltage wiring solder joints, which can be very convenient for DIY projects.
This module is used for single-cell lithium battery or multi-cell parallel lithium battery charging. The charging port can take power from USB.
Note: When the battery is connected for the first time, there may be no voltage output between OUT+ and OUT- . At this time, the protection circuit can be activated by charging it with 5V voltage. If the battery is short-circuited from B+ B- and then connected It needs to be charged to activate the protection circuit. When using a mobile phone charger for input, please note that the charger must be able to output 1A or above, otherwise it may not be able to charge normally.
The MINI USB female socket and the + -pad next to it are the power input terminals, which are connected to the 5V voltage. B+ is connected to the positive electrode of the lithium battery, and B- is connected to the negative electrode of the lithium battery. OUT+ and OUT- are connected to loads, such as the positive and negative poles of the mobile booster board or other loads.
Connect the battery to B+ B- , insert the mobile phone charger into the USB socket, the red light is on for charging, and the green light is for full.
1. The ammeter for testing current can only be connected in series to the 5V input terminal of the charging board.
2. The charging current is preferably 0.37C of the battery capacity, which is 0.37 times the capacity. For example, a battery charging current of 400 mAH is sufficient. If the charging speed is too large, the effect will be poor, and the battery voltage will drop more after charging!
3. The charging connection wire cannot be too thin or too long. This connection resistance is large. If it is too thin, the battery voltage will drop after the charge.
4. It is better to have a good contact with the battery. Otherwise, the battery voltage will drop more after charging.
5. If the input voltage of 5V is too high, such as 5.2 or even 5.5, the charging current will be less than 1000mA, which is normal. When the voltage is high, the chip heats up and the charging current is automatically reduced to prevent the chip from burning. It is normal for the chip to heat up around 60 degrees during operation. After all, the charging current is large.
6. The reverse connection of the input has no effect on the chip, but the reverse connection of the output (battery end) will burn the chip, please pay attention to the buyer.
Compact, fits into small projects.
All worked perfectly, the quality of manufacturing exceeded my expectations. Would recommend this product to anyone.
Great product. Will purchase if I need more
These are as advertised. They worked and I'm using them for an Oculus battery charger pack I built. It works very good and has extended play time by 10. Ten chargers and batteries. Working great. I modified the holder and used an 18650 charger on tinkercad. You can make other battery styles too. This is great for all projects. I may need more for other ideas I have that will require them. I will purchase these again.
Perfect
Nice little charger boards! Included protection circuit is a big plus too. I've used one in a rechargeable LED lamp so far, works great.
Good prize. Good size
No problem with this. I've been using it to reconfigure products I have that use other types of batteries with a #18650 Lithium-Ions for extended battery life and to standardize what style of battery everything I have used. Easy to use. Not too big. Would recommend this highly.
Nice charging cells
What a great invention. Wire up your 18650's in parallel and this little circuit board charge them up to 4.2 volts without overcharging them.
Great for projects!
These little boards impressed me. Charges my 18650's and powers my experiments.
Awesome product at a great price
I'm using these to make rechargeable battery packs with salvaged Li-Ion cells. Very easy to set-up and use and the size makes it easy to fit inside small project boxes. I like these so much I actually made 2 videos highlighting this part AND I plan to order more soon for some experimenting (new project ideas). Thanks for a great product, price and prompt delivery.
Five stars
I have charged numerous batteries of varying capacities, this works flawlessly.
Great quality
Amazing quality. This is the best I've found yet especially considering the price. Very good for the application that im using, putting battery packs together for charge batteries.
Excellent value and easy to use
I can't believe how inexpensive these modules are and how well they perform. Their small size is a real advantage using them in micro projects. I had great results using them for li-ion battery charging. Would not hesitate to order again.
