This module is useful for detecting sound intensity in the surroundings. It is suitable for acoustic lights, noise-canceling cameras and similar applications.
This sensor can not be used to measure the sound intensity or the specific frequency of a sound.
1. It can detect the sound intensity of the surrounding environment.
Note: This sensor can only identify the presence or absence of sound (according to the principle of vibration) and cannot identify the size of the sound or the sound of a specific frequency
2. The sensitivity is adjustable (the blue digital potentiometer is adjusted in the picture)
3. With fixing bolt holes for easy installation
1. VCC externally connects 3.3V-5V voltage (can be directly connected with 5v microcontroller and 3.3v microcontroller)
2.GND external GND
3. OUT small board switch output interface (0 and 1)
1. The sound module is most sensitive to the sound intensity of the environment, and is generally used to detect the sound intensity of the surrounding environment.
2. The module OUT outputs a high level when the ambient sound intensity does not reach the set threshold; when the external environment sound intensity exceeds the set threshold, the module OUT outputs a low level;
3. The digital output OUT of the small board can be directly connected with the single-chip microcomputer, and the high and low level can be detected by the single-chip microcomputer, thereby detecting the sound of the environment.

Wide sensitivity range & stands up to abuse
Used as a redundant safety feature for a machine that has to stop if it hits something. It was easy to adjust the knob until it only triggers when there is a very loud sound. The led made tuning very easy to do! I was also impressed that one of these things still worked after I plugged it in backwards by mistake. It got hot but didn't burn up right away.
Simple, easy to use, works well.
The potentiometer works very smoothly, the sound detection level is a simple digital trip of on or off, and they just plug in and work.
All 5 worked. Good price. Extra LED indicating input.
One potentially nice thing these have that the others don't is a little LED indicating when it's detecting a signal. (At least, that's what it seems to do.) Perhaps not very useful, and I'm not sure at this point how configurable that might be, but it's interesting when configuring the gain adjuster.
Worth it product
This one works, and works well. I ordered 25 for a workshop and have not had a failure on the bunch.
